How to Check Your PTE Result (2026): myPTE Steps and Sending Scores
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Quick answer: Pearson emails you when your PTE result is ready, usually within 48 hours. Sign in to your myPTE account, open My Activity and view or download your Score Report. To share it, click Send Scores and choose the institution. Sending is free.
How to check your PTE result in myPTE: step by step
- Watch for the Pearson email saying your result is ready. Check your spam folder too.
- Sign in to myPTE with the same account you used to book your test.
- Go to My Activity and open your test.
- Click View Score to see your overall score and your Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing scores.
- Download the PDF for your own records. Institutions do not accept the PDF as proof, so you still need to send your scores.
How to send your PTE scores (universities, employers and Home Affairs)
- In myPTE, go to My Activity and click Send Scores next to your test.
- Search for the institution by name and tick it. You can select up to seven at a time.
- Review the details and confirm. Pearson sends a confirmation email.
Sending is free and you can send to as many institutions as you need. Allow about 48 hours before the institution can see your scores, so do not leave it until the day of a deadline. For an Australian visa, send your scores to the Department of Home Affairs through myPTE and confirm the requirement with Home Affairs or your registered migration agent.
What your Score Report shows
Your report shows an overall score and a score for each communicative skill, each on a 10 to 90 scale. For Australian migration the skill scores matter more than the overall score, because each skill has its own minimum. See the Competent, Proficient and Superior English scores and the PTE score chart.
The Score Report Code is the 10 character code at the top of the report, below your name. Institutions can use it, or your Registration ID, to look up your scores online.

Not happy with your score?
Before you rebook, look at your lowest skill, not your overall score, and decide whether a rescore makes sense. Our PTE rescore guide covers the cost and the risks.
