PTE Write from Dictation 2025: Get All REAL Repeated PTE Questions (Free PDF)
The Ultimate Guide to PTE Write from Dictation (with FREE 2025 Question Bank)
For any student serious about their PTE score, one question type stands above all others in importance: Write from Dictation (WFD). This single task is often the #1 reason students fail to achieve their target scores in Listening and Writing.
It can be frustrating to see so many online resources offering outdated or incomplete lists of “repeated questions,” often recycled month after month.
That ends today.
This guide will not only give you access to a comprehensive repeated PTE questions with over 535 of the most recent and frequently repeated dictation sentences, but it will also teach you the exact method to practice them for a guaranteed score improvement.

Why PTE WFD is the Most Important Question!
Before getting to the strategy, it’s crucial to understand why this task is so critical. Every single word you type correctly in PTE Write from Dictation gives you:
One point for PTE Listening Section
One point for PTE Writing Section
With 3-4 of these sentences in every exam, they account for 30-40 marks in both sections. You can perform perfectly on the rest of the test, but if you fail your dictations, you will not get a high score
The good news? These questions are heavily repeated. We can guarantee that if you study the list provided in this post, you will get at least two out of three, or three out of four, of your exam sentences word-for-word from this material.
The “Holy Book” Method: A Step-by-Step Guide to Practice Dictation in PTE
Just having the questions isn’t enough. You need a system. This is the exact method we teach our students to ensure they don’t just practice the sentences, but truly master them.
Step 1: Download and PRINT Your Dictation PDF
The first step is to get the materials. We have compiled a PDF of over 535 dictation sentences, which you can download for free using the link at the bottom of this post. Once you have it, you must print it out.
This printed document will become your most important study tool. We often joke with our students that this PDF should be their bible, their Bhagavad-Gita, their Quran. You should keep it with you constantly – read it on the train, review it before bed – because this level of familiarity is what builds success.
Step 2: Practice 50 PTE Dictation Sentences Daily
Your goal is to practice 50 sentences every single day. This should take about 30 minutes. You can use our YouTube dictation playlist, which follows the PDF exactly.
Listen to the sentence from the video. Write it down on a separate piece of paper. Check your answer against your printed PDF.
Step 3: Use the “Underline vs. Circle” Correction System
This is the most important part of the method. How you correct your mistakes determines how you will revise later.
For 1-2 Minor Mistakes: If you just made a small spelling error or missed a simple word like “a” or “the,” just underline the incorrect word on your printed PDF. This shows it was only a minor error. For Major Mistakes: If you made more than two mistakes, or if you added or missed words at the beginning or in the middle of the sentence, this is a major issue. You must circle the entire sentence. This sentence is now considered “completely wrong.”
Step 4: Revise the Smart Way
Once you have practiced all 535 sentences, your revision becomes incredibly efficient. You no longer need to practice the sentences you got right.
Your focus now is only on re-reading and re-doing the sentences you circled—the ones you failed completely. This targeted practice is the fastest way to fix your weaknesses and prepare for the exam.
A Final Word of Warning
Even with this method, you must be prepared. Some sentences in the PTE database are incredibly long and difficult. For example:
“Americans have progressively defined the process of plant growth and reproductive development in quantitative terms.”
This is a 17-word sentence. Not even a native speaker will get this correct on their first try without practice. This is why following the method and familiarizing yourself with every sentence on the list is not optional – it’s essential for achieving a 79+ score.
Start Your Practice Today
There are no more excuses. You have the materials, and you have the method. This is your path to securing those crucial points in your Listening and Writing sections.
